KTI in Sisimiut is looking for an office manager with leadership experience and financial flair. The Technical School, KTI in Sisimiut is looking for an Office Manager to start on October 1, 2026, or by further agreement.
Are you ready to take on a challenge as an office manager, and do you have leadership experience, as well as a flair for finance? Then you are the one we are looking for.
KTI is under the Government of Greenland and offers vocational education at addresses in Nuuk and Sisimiut within the fields of Iron and metal, Construction and Civil Engineering, Raw Materials, Upper Secondary Education, and language courses.
KTI also collaborates with the Copenhagen Maritime Academy and Arctic DTU
In recent years, KTI has undergone an exciting development with growth in activities, where more vocational education and access-giving courses are offered in the educational areas.
In addition, KTI is responsible for the operation of approximately 360 student residences, student, employee, and student cafeteria, located in Sisimiut.
KTI Sisimiut is looking for an office manager – who is interested in a team-based work environment, where emphasis is placed on competence and collaboration.
The staffing in the administration in Sisimiut currently consists, in addition to the office manager, of around 10 administrative employees and 1 intern. The office manager reports directly to KTI's administration manager.
Responsibilities and tasks of the Office Manager:
Daily leader of administrative staff in KTI Sisimiut, accounting, including for the educational areas and the dormitory – including recruitment of new administrative employees, performance reviews for administrative staff at KTI Sisimiut
Personnel and payroll administration in collaboration with HR – including registration of benefits, vacation registration, payroll control, payroll reconciliation, and gross payroll list approvals, administration of KTI's vacant housing
Financial system:
Control of invoice/credit note approvals in all departments, account string creations/closures, new user creations/closures in the financial system, My Perspective, and IT registrations and reconciliations in status accounts
Budget and accounting function – including assisting in the preparation of budget contributions for the finance bill proposal and budget follow-up towards the department and budget control in collaboration with the administration manager and external financial consultantStreamlining, standardization, coordination of administrative workflows and accounting processes between the individual departments
Accounting follow-up AMA & PKU in collaboration with the course financial manager and departments
Annual renewals of Accounting Instructions and inventory lists
Ad hoc tasks in the administration and HR department
Qualifications:
Leadership experience, preferably from administration and accounting
Thorough experience in accounting and bookkeeping functions
Has relevant education in finance and accounting
Preferably knowledge of the financial system IRIS and management information
Responsible and good collaboration skills.
Thorough knowledge of IT.
Bilingual, Greenlandic and Danish

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment terms, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing
An unfurnished staff housing can be assigned for the position according to the applicable rules at any time. Housing cannot be assigned to individuals who already have staff housing or another residence owned by the municipality or the Government of Greenland. Rent and deposit are paid according to the applicable rules for the assigned housing. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
Rent and housing standards may vary depending on the age of the housing, ownership conditions, etc. There may be waiting time for the assignment of permanent staff housing, which is why temporary accommodation may occur, including in smaller co-housing or hotel apartments, for which taxation applies. It is not possible to keep larger pets such as dogs or cats in staff or temporary housing.
