Do you want to be a department manager in a small department with 3 residents and 3 employees - and do you have relevant experience? Then you might be our new department manager?

Your tasks will be:

Daily management, supervision, and training of 3 employees

You will be part of the work schedule

Scheduling

Pedagogical role model

Direct resident contact

The office (principal and deputy principal) handles the written communication with external partners

We expect that you have most of the following qualifications and competencies:

Professional qualifications

Relevant education - Educator-social assistant-educational assistant

Preferably experience in residential institutions and/or experience in psychiatry

Personal competencies

Positive energy

Advantage to be bilingual

Self-awareness

Flexible

Robust

That you will loyally continue the work according to our chosen method and practice

About us:

We are a residential institution under the Government of Greenland for young people aged 14-20 - with a fragile psyche due to severe neglect in childhood - and are organizationally placed under the residential institution department in the social agency.

We have 3 departments with a total of 13 residents and 21 permanent employees.

The department manager reports to the principal and deputy principal and collaborates daily with the other department manager.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary - and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
