We are looking for a doctor with good general medical skills for Sisimiut. The position involves patient contact in almost all specialties and close collaboration with other staff groups. The work primarily focuses on general medicine in the outpatient clinic.

We are looking for a Doctor with good general medical competencies for Sisimiut!
We offer:
- A professionally challenging doctor job with patient contact in almost all specialties.
- A close and well-functioning collaboration with the other staff groups at the location as well as the possibility for telephone supervision/support with the consultants in Nuuk.
- A job where you primarily work with general medicine in the outpatient clinic. Additionally, you will admit patients, conduct ward rounds, and most frequently treat infectious disease and psychiatric patients. Furthermore, patients are transferred for further specialized treatment at Queen Ingrid's Hospital in Nuuk.
- Small surgical procedures are performed weekly in the morning, but it is not expected that you have surgical competencies.
We are looking for you who:
- Preferably are a general practitioner. Other doctors with good general medical competencies as well as younger doctors who have enough experience to take independent shifts are also welcome.
- Have the professional competencies as well as the ability and willingness for respectful collaboration, as this is highly prioritized.
- Can work from October 1, 2026, to December 1, 2026.
About us:
Sisimiut Regional Hospital is part of Region Qeqqa. We have 3 associated settlements: Kangerlussuaq, Itilleq, and Sarfannguaq, and a total of about 73 employees. Sisimiut is Greenland's second-largest town, and we serve about 6,000 residents. We are 5 doctors in total.
The regional hospital has a well-functioning outpatient clinic as well as an emergency room and a ward, where there is room for 19 admitted patients of all ages and with various disease patterns.
There is daily access to laboratory, X-ray, and ultrasound. Additionally, we have somatic/psychiatric home care, health care, maternity care, physiotherapy, venereal and contraceptive clinic, as well as nursing consultation, operating room, and pharmacy.

Housing
Housing will be provided according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic Health Service at any given time.
Salary and employment
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and departure travel and moving expenses, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Citizenship
If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. A residence and work permit can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
