We are looking for psychologists who can work in a system that is based on Greenlandic language and culture.
We prefer that you have experience in pedagogical psychological work with children and adolescents, the ability to work independently and flexibly in relation to diverse tasks.
MISI Kujalleq is based in Qaqortoq and is responsible for pedagogical psychological counseling in the 3 South Greenlandic towns. In addition to the school in Qaqortoq, the schools in Narsaq and Nanortalik, as well as the associated settlements, are served. Furthermore, the preschool area (children and adolescents aged 0 – 18 years) is served. The office is staffed with 5 positions: One leading psychologist, one psychologist, one consultant for special education, one consultant for speech-hearing, and one administrative officer.
Organizationally, MISI Kujalleq is placed as a department under the Administration for day care institutions, schools, employment, and culture.
Job responsibilities:
- Leads and distributes the work in MISI/PPR
- Budget and personnel responsible
- Hiring and dismissals in collaboration with the head of administration.
- Planning work related to operations in collaboration with other employees.
- Participation in development work internally and externally.
- Approves based on discussions with the consultant and assistant psychologist the number of hours and the organization of Special classes.
- Approves employees' vacation and course plans.
- Own vacation and course plan approved by the head of administration.
- Performs the same tasks as the employed psychologist (see below)
- Responsible for MISI meetings, morning meetings, and professional meetings
- Responsible for MISI-Kujalleq's participation in interdisciplinary collaboration in the municipality and in relevant instances, e.g., with administration, school, healthcare, social administration, etc.
- Ensures professional development, including staff training, courses, and further education
- Mutual psychological professional supervision
- Supervision of own tasks.

Child certificate:
This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has obtained a child certificate.
The child certificate will be included in the municipality's assessment of who should be employed in the position.
Employment on favorable terms
According to applicable agreements for leading school psychologists, employment occurs according to the agreement of August 27, 2014, between Naalakkersuisut and IMAK. For applicants who are already civil servants in Greenland, this form of employment can be continued.
Housing is provided, for which rent, deposit, etc. is paid according to the rules in force at any time. Some waiting time for the allocation of permanent housing can be expected due to the housing situation, which is why accommodation in temporary housing must be anticipated for a period.
Relocation travel and moving expenses are provided according to applicable rules.
