If you are engaged in working as an educator, are you interested in working with children in everyday life, then we need you in the integrated daycare institution Paarsisoq.

We develop children in the daycare institution, we are continuously involved in developing leadership and organization. Here in the institution, we emphasize having close communication, and we are focused on the individual children's and groups' development and well-being.

It is the goal of Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq to develop curious, robust, and happy children, these are our fundamental principles for developing the children, we do this by discussing our educational goals, about how we can realize these.

To work based on our goals, which are:

∙Development of children based on the children's skills

∙To use appreciative pedagogy to develop the children at their level, and to develop the children based on their skills

∙To practice the children in speaking, acquiring, and the ability to be with others, by using the 7 basic principles

∙We use the Kammagiitta suitcase (anti-bullying materials) in various activities, where we learn about respect, closeness, setting boundaries, and being able to stand up

∙We use pedagogical sports so that children can learn to control their motor skills and children learn to make decisions

About the kindergarten:

The integrated daycare institution Paarsisoq is designated for 90 children divided into six groups. The staff ratio is 22, and consists of: Leader, deputy leader, four educators, six social workers, six assistants, cleaning assistant, two nutrition assistants

The daycare institution was put into use on November 6, 1969

The nursery is open from 07:00 - 17:00 and is located in the center of Nuuk

Criminal and Child Certificate:

This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon when the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police and the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
