Do you want to help develop the labor market area in Municipality Qeqertalik?

We are looking for a department head for Majoriaq, work job training in the INUIT area, reporting to the Administration Manager. The position is based in Aasiaat and covers the municipality's 4 towns and 8 settlements. The department head has overall responsibility for the professional and financial management of the area, as well as for ensuring that political decisions are translated into concrete results for citizens and local communities, in close collaboration with the Administration Manager.

The department head acts as a link between the political leadership, the executive management, and the administrative organization. You will have overall responsibility for operations, development, authority, finance, and political service in the Inuit area and will, in close collaboration with the Head of Administration, lead the reorganization of the area with clear leadership and high professional quality. The department head will primarily be responsible for MAJORIAQ, public assistance, and labor market services.

Central chef role

Reference to the Administration Manager Inuit and close interaction with the political level.

Management responsibility

Head of a leadership group with department heads and leaders in each city within MAJORIAQ.

Professional field

The department head will primarily be responsible for MAJORIAQ, motivational initiatives for citizens in need of clarification regarding education and the labor market. Public assistance and labor market services.

Geography

Responsibility across the municipality's four towns and eight villages.

You will be responsible for that.

Professional qualifications

• Relevant education in the field, preferably with relevant further training.
• Management experience
• Experience from public administration is an advantage.

Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the police.

Housing:

A staff housing option will be available for the position, for which a deposit and rent, including utilities, will be paid according to the current regulations for rent payments in the properties of the Greenland Self-Government and the municipality in Greenland. If a permanent staff residence cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, employees entitled to a vacant residence will be offered a temporary vacant residence, for which A-tax will be paid for benefits in kind in accordance with applicable legislation.

A staff residence must be vacated upon the termination of the employment relationship.
