Leader for Leisure Scheme Nanoq

Position as leader of the leisure program Nanoq in Paamiut

The leisure arrangement Nanoq is a childcare offer for children in 1st to 3rd grade after school hours and is designed for 60 children.

The staffing norm is 6½ and is distributed as follows: leader, deputy leader, 2 child social workers, 2 assistants, and additionally a part-time cleaning assistant who works daily.

The leisure arrangement Nanoq is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

and is located by the school "Tuiisaq"

The manager has working hours between 08:00 and 16:00, and has the option as needed from 07:30 to 15:30 or 08:30 to 16:30.

Functions associated with the Leadership Position:

The leader is a sparring partner with the deputy head and together they must ensure compliance with the overall goals and objectives as well as guidelines for the pedagogical work being carried out in practice.

The leader is part of the staffing and takes care of the general pedagogical work with parental collaboration, preparing action plans/activities.

Requirements for the applicant are:

• that you must be trained as a pedagogue or have an equivalent education

• that you are responsible

• that you need to have an overview

• that you need to be creative

• that you must have the ability to empathize and adapt

• that you must be able to handle the work in stressful situations

• that you should be flexible and cooperative, approachable

• that you need to be stable

• that you should be able to see opportunities instead of limitations

Area of responsibility:

• that you as a leader follow the political frameworks

• that you are obligated to comply with the institution's budget

• that you have the right to allocate for the above-mentioned units' grant area

• that you, in collaboration with users, staff, and parents, develop objectives, action plans, and activity plans

Educational work area:

• that you, in close collaboration with the institution's management, implement the law and guidelines for the educational work

• that you ensure the educational annual plan and values of the leisure scheme are implemented in practice

• that you participate or advise in solving collaboration problems between staff and parents

Administrative area:

• daily operation of the institution

• ensure adequate staff coverage in relation to staffing levels

• hold meetings with staff, users, and parents

• ensure to keep an attendance record for each day for all users

The daycare department offers ongoing training tailored to the daycare environment and the leadership team.

Criminal and child certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the national police, as well as the criminal certificate from the police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.

Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, SIK, or another relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing

A staff housing can be provided for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. will be paid according to the applicable rules for rent payment in the Greenland Self-Government and the municipality's properties in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, employees entitled to temporary housing will be offered a temporary rental property, for which rent, utilities, etc. will be paid in accordance with the above. The start date is dependent on when a staff accommodation is available. A relocation travel allowance and moving of personal belongings are provided in accordance with applicable regulations.
