Avannaata Municipality is seeking a Prevention Consultant in Uummannaq starting March 16, 2026. The position involves coordination and development in health and leisure, collaboration with municipal administrations and sports associations, as well as implementation of the municipality's objectives. Flexible working hours and bilingualism in Greenlandic and Danish are required.
Avannaata Municipality is seeking a Prevention Consultant in Uummannaq, starting on March 16, 2026, or by further agreement.
The prevention consultant reports to the manager in Health and Leisure as their immediate supervisor.
Upon employment, the tasks and areas of responsibility will be as follows:
Coordination in the municipality regarding early prevention as well as development within health and leisure.
·Organization and prioritization of efforts
Collaboration with municipal administrations, the Self-Government, and other relevant stakeholders, as well as coordination and planning of initiatives.
·Contact with sports clubs and other associations
Implementation of the municipality's established objectives
·Assisting in the handling of other tasks across the organization and the municipal administrations.
It is assumed that the prevention consultant is willing to work flexible hours in connection with participation in various events.

Salary and employment conditions: The employment is in accordance with the current collective agreement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
No housing is provided in connection with the position.
The employment is conditional upon a satisfactory criminal record and child protection certificate, which will be obtained by the employer from the National Police with the applicant's consent.
