As an Activity Center Manager, you will delegate tasks to staff to meet activity goals. You will collaborate with users on maintenance training, care, and social interaction. Staff will initiate activities and plan training with the Therapy Team. The aim is to create meaningful activities for the elderly and prevent loneliness.

As a leader, you should delegate to your employees to help achieve the activity objectives, which can be:
To be a gathering place for retirees, disabled individuals, and residents, where maintenance training, care, and social interaction are carried out in collaboration with the users.
The employees' task is to initiate all activities outside of the activity and, together with the therapy team, plan and initiate training/gymnastics. To help motivate the elderly to be active by collaborating with the citizens' needs to create meaningful activities.
Activity area:
Carry out activities of both preventive, training, and social nature so that users can remain living in their own homes.
Contribute to the development of the activity area based on users' needs and wishes.
That citizens can live an active life on their own terms for as long as possible.
Preventing loneliness
Collaboration with volunteer helpers in the house to organize activities.
Purchase of various activity materials for use in the activity center in collaboration with the Manager/Deputy Manager.
Expectations for applicants:
That you are trained as a social and health assistant, educator, health helper, social helper, or with similar social professional education.
Has practical experience in the elderly sector and management experience.
Good interdisciplinary collaboration skills, and willingness to change and develop
With creative/craft skills and interests
Interest in working with the elderly and people with disabilities
Open and responsible, respectful, flexible, cooperative, accommodating, and has a good sense of humor.
Good at structuring and planning various activities based on users' needs.
Be part of creating a good environment for the users and a good collegial collaboration.
Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
