MATERNITY LEAVE SUBSTITUTE WANTED for the Activity and Social Offer Kammagiit, employment from June 1 or by agreement.

In the activity and social offer Kammagiit, the target group is adults (18+) with a physical and/or mental disability, meaning that the users have various diagnoses such as; autism, ADHD, mental retardation, schizophrenia, anxiety, etc. Kammagiit consists of three departments: a respite offer, an activity and social offer, and an internal café.

We are looking for a full-time employee for our Activity Offer. This department is open during the daytime and is closed on weekends and public holidays.

As an employee at the activity and social offer Kammagiit, you must work together with the user, relatives, and other employees to ensure that the citizen has guidelines in their daily life, where they experience safety and stable frameworks, based on their individual action plans, which you will continuously help to assess in collaboration with the user.

Work is being done on, among other things:

·Live training, such as cleaning, etc.

Support for employment

·To be able to engage in social interaction

Training in the form of exercise and swimming and various activities

Activities are created based on the users' interests and developmental stages.

We expect that you:

Has an education in the social field.

·Have the desire and passion to help make a difference for our users

Is engaged and has a healthy and positive outlook on life.

Can work independently and is flexible

·Is initiating and has a sense of humor

Can be part of a small group where collaboration is the most important.

Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.

We also emphasize:

·That you preferably have experience working with people with physical and/or mental disabilities.

·That you have experience in preparing development plans and status reports.

·That you actively contribute to continuously developing and improving our tasks.

Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
