Subject Teacher in Economics

Campus Kujalleq is seeking an engaged subject teacher in economics for teaching business economics, marketing, and social studies. The position involves planning, executing, and evaluating lessons as well as guiding students. We are looking for a structured and dedicated person with relevant education and preferably teaching experience.

Subject Teacher in Economics Niuernermik Ilinniarfik in Qaqortoq/Campus Kujalleq is seeking a subject teacher in economics.

Campus Kujalleq is seeking dedicated teachers for the subjects of Business Economics, Marketing, and Social Studies, starting as soon as March 1, 2026, or by agreement.

The school offers a wide range of TNI/EUD and KVU programs with a focus on administration and retail. As a teacher, you will teach students in our TNI/EUD programs, KVU programs with the opportunity to hold courses from our course department. If you are passionate about teaching and conveying economics in a practical and understandable way, and if you want to work with young and adult students in a development-oriented educational environment, then you might be the one we are looking for.

  • Your primary tasks Teaching economic subjects in the Service Economy program and the commercial programs
  • Planning, implementation, and evaluation of teaching
  • Preparation and adaptation of teaching materials
  • Guidance and support of students in their academic development
  • Participation in interdisciplinary collaboration and development of the education programs
  • We expect that you have a relevant higher education in economics, business economics, accounting, finance, or similar.
  • Willing to have experience in teaching or communication (educational training is an advantage, but not a requirement)
  • Has insight into the economic relationships of the business world and can connect theory to practice.
  • Is structured, committed, and good at building relationships with students.
  • Want to work in a Greenlandic educational context and contribute to the development of local competencies.

About Campus Kujalleq

  • Campus Kujalleq is South Greenland's largest educational institution with approximately 70 employees and about 300 annual students. We have four educational departments: A high school department with about 30 teachers and approximately 175 annual students.
  • A TNI/EUD department for retail and office education with about 10 teachers and hourly teachers and approximately 125 students per year.
  • A tourism education department with about 5 teachers and part-time instructors and approximately 50 students per year.
  • A course department that offers courses throughout Greenland.

Commencement will be on March 1, 2026, or as otherwise agreed.

Job interviews will be held either via Teams or in person at Campus Kujalleq and are expected to be completed by February 28, 2026.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving and relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Housing

An unfurnished staff housing can be assigned to the position according to the applicable rules at any given time. Housing cannot be assigned to individuals who already have staff housing or another property owned by the municipality or the Government of Greenland. Rent and deposit are paid according to the applicable rules for the assigned housing. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.

Rent and housing standards may vary depending on the age of the property, ownership conditions, etc. There may be a waiting period for the allocation of permanent staff housing, which is why temporary accommodation may occur, including in smaller co-housing communities or hotel apartments, for which taxation applies. It is not possible to keep larger pets, such as dogs or cats, in staff or temporary housing.
