Aasiaat - The Tikiusaaq Nursery is seeking a qualified kitchen assistant for a full-time position of 40 hours per week. The position requires responsibility, overview, flexibility, and teamwork skills. Employment is subject to applicable agreements and requires a satisfactory criminal and child certificate.
The Municipality of Qeqertalik, Aasiaat, is seeking 1 trained kitchen assistant or similar for employment starting on July 1, 2026, or by further agreement, at the daycare Tikiusaaq for ages 0-3 years. At the daycare Tikiusaaq, there are four rooms.
Generally for the nursery Tikiusaaq:
The position is a full-time job, 40 hours a week.
The administration for nurseries falls under INUIT.

Be prepared to work based on the goals and action plans of the daycare institution.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

Employment is conditional upon a satisfactory public criminal record and child protection certificate, which will be obtained by the employer from the National Police with the consent of the applicant recommended for employment.
There is no housing available.
Criminal record and child certificate:
This position is covered by the law requiring the collection of criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the national police, as well as the criminal record from the police.
The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.
