Aasiaat - Meeraaqqerivik Tikiusaaq is seeking a Social Educator or someone with equivalent qualifications. The position is full-time, 40 hours a week. The Municipality of Qeqertalik, Aasiaat, is seeking 1 social educator or someone with equivalent education to start on July 1, 2026, or by further agreement, for the daycare Tikiusaaq, which caters to children aged 0-3 years. The daycare Tikiusaaq has four rooms.

General information about the Tikiusaaq Nursery:

The position is a full-time position, 40 hours a week.

The administration for the Tikiusaaq daycare is under INUIT.

·Able to handle stressful situations, be flexible, cooperative, approachable, and stable.

·Good physical and mental health and an open and happy mood.

Be prepared to work based on the goals and action plans of the daycare institution.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

Employment is conditional upon a satisfactory public criminal record and child protection certificate, which will be obtained by the employer from the National Police with the consent of the applicant recommended for employment.

Criminal and child certificate:

This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police, as well as the criminal record from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.
