Assistant Manager for Apisseq

We are seeking an Assistant Manager for the integrated daycare center Apisseq.

Apisseq is an age-integrated institution with 12 children in each of our 2 nurseries and 15 children in each of our 3 kindergarten rooms, totaling 69 children. Your daily placement will be at Tuåaarnaq, the room with children aged 3-4 years.

Apisseq is open on weekdays from 7 AM to 5 PM

We expect you to:

· Be a trained educator with a focus on professionalism

· Have a desire to create a creative environment for the children

· Preferably have leadership experience

· Be willing to take responsibility

· Be proactive

· Have an overview

· Be honest

· Collaborate across the institution

· Focus on the transition between kindergarten and school

· Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement

Criminal and Child Record:

The position is subject to the law requiring a criminal and child record check. According to the law, employment can only commence once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child records. Therefore, we must note that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child record from the National Police and the criminal record from the Police.

The child record is obtained by the municipality with the individual's consent, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and Employment Terms:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the current agreement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization at the time of employment.

The employment will include a 3-month probationary period.

Housing:

No staff housing is provided for the position.
