We are looking for a motivated and skilled colleague for the Staff in the Administration for Welfare and Labor Market in the Municipality of Sermersooq.

As an AC officer in the Staff, you should thrive in working in the tension between the political level and the practice where political visions, ideas, and desires are translated into concrete actions for the benefit of the citizens in Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq.

As an AC executive in the Department of Welfare and Labor Market, you will help ensure a solid basis for decision-making for both our politicians and the management of the administration.

You will among other things be working with:

• Written communication, including case presentations, notes, analyses, consultation responses, etc.
• Project management from start to finish
• Coordination between the political and administrative level
• The management's economy
• Development of new workflows

We are looking for a versatile employee who thrives with a wide range of tasks and is not afraid to work on topics where you may not yet have specialized skills. There is an opportunity to tailor some of the tasks to your preferences and competencies.

About the workplace:

The Administration for Welfare and Labor Market addresses tasks within the elderly sector, disability and social psychiatry, as well as job and social services.

The staff supports the politicians (especially the Committee for Social and Disability as well as the Committee for Elderly and Care), the director, and the department heads within the administration's area. The tasks encompass all areas of the administration.

The team consists of about 10 employees with various educational backgrounds and experiences. You will report to the head of the team, but also work closely with department heads and the director.

It is an advantage if you are familiar with Greenland, including the language, but it is not a requirement. It is essential that you are interested in Greenland and in engaging with life in Nuuk.

Nuuk is a fantastic city, the world's smallest capital, located in magnificent nature and with a wealth of offerings in culture, sports, and leisure.

Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
