Are you ready to lead the leisure environment at Leisure Club Qinngorput, where you can make a difference for children and young people with professionalism and clear leadership – and at the same time help shape a leisure club in exciting development? A leisure club with various activities, and you, along with the users and staff, will create the framework for future activities.
The leisure club shares premises with the AKO Miniclub.
As a leader, you can help shape the environment, culture, and educational direction in the club.
The club provides a framework for leisure activities for children and young people aged 9 to 21.
Opening hours and structure
Your working hours will primarily be from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Otherwise, arrangements can be made for changes.
Your profile – what we are looking for
We are looking for a leader who:
·Has relevant educational training (e.g., educator, teacher, or teaching assistant, etc.)
·Has experience with management
·Is clear, stable
·Wants to work pedagogically and strategically with the well-being and development of children and young people.
Can develop and structure educational activities in collaboration with the staff, the club council, and the management.
·Is familiar with children's rights, duty to report, and professional boundaries
Is psychologically resilient, action-oriented, and can stand firm in challenging situations.
Has skills in IT and administration – and can participate in financial management and planning.
Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.
You will be responsible for, among other things:
Develop and implement a new structure and vision for the club.
·Be the daily and strategic leader of the Fritidsklubben Inneruulat and collaborate with the management.
·Develop annual plans, hold professional sparring sessions, and support collaboration across the clubs.
Strengthen team collaboration and introduce new pedagogical working methods.
·Be a safe and unifying face for both children, parents, and employees.

Criminal and Child Certificate:
The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal record from the Police.
The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
