Team Leader for Dementia Department

Municipality of Qeqertalik, Aasiaat. Seeking Team Leader for the Dementia Department at the Elderly and Care Home. Health Assistant or Health Helper.

We are looking for a committed team leader who will help strengthen our professionalism and job satisfaction, and create safety, structure, and quality of life for residents with dementia in the dementia department.

The dementia department consists of 2 floors and has a total of 14 residents. The residents are a mix, with some not requiring care, while others have greater care needs; the focus is on structure, presence, and support in daily life.

There is also a care-intensive department, which has 17 residents. The nursing home consists of several departments with different functions and has a total of about 60 employees.

Responsibilities and area tasks. Overall responsibility in relation to the daily operations in collaboration with the Deputy Manager and the team leader for care-dependent individuals.

Nearest superior.

Administrative deputy for the Deputy Head.

Primary tasks.

·Advice and guidance for the caregiving staff.

·Service time, vacation, and duty schedules of the care staff in collaboration with the Deputy Manager and another Team Leader.

Co-responsible for medication dosing in collaboration with the nursing professional deputy.

·Assistive technology area occupational therapy and physiotherapy.

·Bilingual in both Greenlandic and Danish.

Ability to create a safe and trusting contact with both residents and their relatives.

·Meeting is stable and adheres to the meeting time.

Can perform tasks independently and take responsibility.

Welcoming in collaboration with others.

Has the ability to work in a structured manner and plan.

Can collaborate flexibly in different situations.

·Can be a practical supervisor.

The work involves collaboration with different professional groups and requires the ability to adapt to changing tasks. Emphasis is placed on the employee's ability to work independently, but also to be part of a team. The job demands responsibility and commitment, and a positive approach to tasks as well as a willingness to develop is expected.
