The Kulunnguaq Kindergarten in Qasigiannguit is seeking a social worker and a social assistant for full-time positions of 40 hours per week. The position requires a social worker education, responsibility, commitment, and the ability to handle stress. Employment will be in accordance with the applicable agreement, and satisfactory criminal and child certificates are required.
Municipality of Qeqertalik Qasigiannguit is seeking a social worker and social assistant trained for employment starting on 01.06.2026 or by further agreement, in the kindergarten Kulunnguaq.
General for kindergarten:
The position is a full-time position, 40 hours a week. There is space for 60 children.
The opening hours for the kindergarten are Monday – Friday from 07:00 – 17:00.
The administration for the kindergarten falls under the Head of Early Childhood Education.
Applicant's qualifications: Social worker education, be responsible, active and committed, have an overview, be able to handle stressful situations, be flexible, cooperative, approachable and stable, possess good physical and mental health, and be prepared to work according to the institution's goals, political goals for children and young people, and other applicable rules for employees under Municipality Qeqertalik.
Salary and employment conditions: Salary and employment conditions will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
Criminal and child certificate:
This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We therefore wish to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police, as well as the criminal certificate from the Police.
The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.

No staff housing is provided for the position.
