Majoriaq in Uummannaq is seeking an officer for employment starting June 15, 2026. Responsibilities include advising and developing workflows for residents in the town and surrounding areas. Relevant education or administrative experience is required. Bilingualism in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage. Employment will be in accordance with the S.I.K agreement.
Majoriaq in Uummannaq is seeking an officer for employment starting June 15, 2026, or by further agreement.
Areas of work and responsibility:
·Be part of working for the citizens in the city and surrounding areas who want to advance in their education and careers.
·General tasks at Majoriaq.
Develop the position in collaboration with others in Majoriaq.
·Advice on developing and finding solutions regarding the workflow.
There is a desire for a person with a relevant educational background, or someone with administrative experience, who can immediately start working on guiding the citizens in the city and the city's 5 villages to advance in education or employment, as well as take on tasks in the office.
We expect that you will actively participate in the work and can solve the various tasks that are presented, as Majoriaq has several different assignments.
Qualifications:
-A relevant education in the field. Has administrative experience.
-Wants to work with young people and adults.
-Is diligent and does not have problems with alcohol and other substances.
-Is bilingual, Greenlandic and Danish, but it is not a requirement.
You should consider the possibility of further education and courses that are required to work in Majoriaq.
Salary and employment conditions:
The employment is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement for similar responsibilities under the S.I.K agreement.
There is no housing for the position.
