Queen Ingrid's Health Center (DIS) in Nuuk offers introductory positions in the specialty of general medicine.

The positions are available for occupancy from spring 2026 onwards.

Queen Ingrid's Health Center in Nuuk is physically located in connection with the national hospital, Queen Ingrid's Hospital (DIH) in Nuuk.

DIS is a modern health center that provides primary health services for the Nuuk health district and associated settlements.

We are 10 specialists in general medicine and 13 resident doctors in the clinic.

DIS reminds in everyday life of a Danish general practice; in addition, we have a duty doctor and emergency room function available around the clock, which is alternately handled by doctors employed at the health center.

Steno Diabetes Center is also part of our clinical everyday life with the treatment of diabetes, hypertension, and COPD.

Almost all types of patients received in Nuuk are treated or referred in DIS.

We guarantee a challenging workday that will be developmentally enriching both professionally and personally.

A prerequisite for a good workday is your ability to collaborate with different professional groups.

The medical postgraduate training in Greenland is organized in collaboration with the postgraduate education secretariat in Region South, Vejle. Mandatory courses are included as part of the employment.

The city has 20,000 inhabitants, which provides a good environment for singles, couples, and families with children.

Housing

Housing is allocated according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic Health Service at any given time.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Citizenship

If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. A residence and work permit can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
