The Qupanuk nursing home in Sisimiut is seeking social and health assistants for the care and dementia departments. Duties include personal care, support, and rehabilitation. We offer full-time employment with 12-hour shifts and 14 days off every 4 weeks. Start date 15.08.2026 or by agreement.

The nursing home in Sisimiut is divided into two departments: the care department and the dementia department, and each of the two departments is led by a department manager:

The care department has space for 22 residents and one respite place.

The dementia department has space for 22 residents.
Emphasis is placed on strengthening and maintaining each resident's ability for self-care, and that the house, its residents, and staff are part of a community that respects the individual.
Your tasks will include:

Personal care and support, and to help ensure that the care is provided in accordance with the purposes, goals, and regulations that have been developed for the area.

Contribute to creating trust and security through dialogue and conversation.

Working to strengthen the resident's functional level and resources, with a rehabilitative workflow.

Be involved in further developing the nursing home by participating in the ongoing development in the field.

Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the agreements in force at any given time between the Greenland Home Rule and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
A staff apartment can be allocated, for which payment is made according to applicable regulations.
