Integrated institution Uiaq is seeking staff for various positions. The institution accommodates 64 children and focuses on fostering curious, resilient, healthy, and happy children. With space for 64 children, including a nursery with room for 24 children aged 0-3 years, divided into two rooms. Kindergarten with space for 40 children aged 4-6 years.

Work and areas of responsibility:

You must be responsible for following Inatsisartut Act No. 62 of November 20, 2023, on educational development offers for preschool children, as well as working according to guidelines that can be found on the Qeqqata Municipality website regarding Qeqqata Municipality's political visions, children and youth policy, and educational objectives.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police, as well as the criminal record from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland and the Greenland Teachers' Association (NPK) and SIK or another relevant negotiating organization.

Start date: to be agreed upon.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing: There will be staff housing available for the position of Deputy Manager, Department Head, and Educator, but not for Social Workers, for whom a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. will be paid according to the current rules for rent payment in the properties of the Greenland Self-Government and the municipality in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, employees entitled to temporary housing will be offered a temporary rental property, for which rent, utilities, etc. will be paid according to the above.

Relocation travel and moving expenses are provided in accordance with applicable regulations.
