Unskilled worker wanted for the Soralu institution. As a floater, you will not be assigned to one room but will need to work throughout the entire institution.

It is important for us that the children experience a coherent and safe everyday life with positive relationships. Therefore, we expect you to help create the framework and support the institution's goals.

We have a common goal of creating curious, resilient, healthy, and happy children.

The position:

• Full-time – working hours are scheduled between 7 AM and 5 PM.
• Is employed beyond the staffing norm and is associated with the entire facility. In larger institutions, the flyer may periodically be attached to one department.
• Must help ensure that the children's daily life remains stable and follows the planned schedule, regardless of whether there are sick leaves or the regular staff is pressed for time for other reasons.
• Will be able to cover the entire house with light cleaning, tidying up, assistance in the kitchen, as well as help in the living rooms, as the person knows both the staff and the children.

Special requirements for:

• Unskilled
• Proactive, initiator, and self-driven
• Has good collaboration skills and is open, adaptable, and approachable.
• Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.

The responsibilities and competencies of the position:

• Is employed beyond the staffing norm and is associated with the entire facility. In larger institutions, the flyer may periodically be assigned to one department.

Main work tasks:

• Can support the permanent staff of the classrooms so that planned activities are carried out.
• Will be able to step in and help ensure that the children's everyday life remains stable and follows the planned schedule, regardless of whether there are sick leaves or the regular staff is pressed for time for other reasons.
• Will be able to cover the entire house with light cleaning, tidying up, help in the kitchen, as well as assistance in the living rooms, since the person knows both the staff and the children.

About the institution:

• Soralu is an integrated daycare institution located in scenic surroundings by the mountain and the sea, situated in Nuussuaq, and was opened in 2008.
• Soralu is an apartment building. Designed for 54 children. 3 nurseries with 12 children each, 1 kindergarten with 18 children.
• There are 15 staff members.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. Therefore, we must point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal record from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
