IT & Digitalization Manager

About the position

As the IT and Digitalization Manager, you will have overall responsibility for leading and developing Qeqqata Municipality's IT and digitalization area. You will focus on optimizing and improving the municipality's systems, processes, and infrastructure. The position is assigned to the management group, and you report to the Director of Finance and Education.

Your main tasks

Strategic development: Develop and implement the municipality's strategy for IT and digitalization.

System optimization: Identify, implement, and continuously maintain improvements and optimizations of existing systems and processes.

Daily operations: Ensure stable operation of IT infrastructure, networks, and services in collaboration with the IT department.

IT security and data protection: Monitor and comply with applicable requirements for IT security and GDPR.

Management: Motivate and develop the employees in the IT department and ensure a positive work environment.

Project and financial management: Take responsibility for budgeting and project management for IT and digitalization projects.

Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with other departments and the management team to ensure effective and holistic digitization across the municipality.

Your profile

• You have a relevant education in IT, digitalization, or management.
• You have solid experience in managing IT/digitalization projects and optimizing IT systems.
• You manage to combine strategic thinking with operational execution.
• You are a clear leader and a strong communicator who can engage and motivate employees.
• Knowledge of public organizations and legislation is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Criminal record

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.
