Naja / Aleqa is looking for an engaged educator who can show closeness and trust to the children, collaborate with parents and colleagues, and work with the child at the center. The position is full-time with 40 hours a week and requires experience in daycare work as well as knowledge of legislation and IT.
The educator we need is engaged with the children, can show closeness and trust, is involved with parents and can have good dialogue with them, has the will to work with the child at the center. You should be someone who is indispensable among colleagues with a broad perspective, is attentive to the children's reactions, and is action-oriented, a good supplement for the leaders, is alert and has the will to be involved in the development and to help influence the daycare institution. You should be someone who can have a close collaboration with the leader and the deputy manager and can take responsibility for the entire facility when needed. You should have the will to develop the children with the child at the center together with other educators and colleagues.
Integrated Naja/Aleqa is located in the southern part of the city.
The area of Education aims to create curious, resilient, healthy, and happy children. There is an expectation that with social worker training, you will focus on achieving these goals.
The position is a full-time job with 40 hours per week. There is space for 44 children, divided into 20 kindergarten children and 24 nursery children.
The opening hours for the kindergarten are Monday – Friday from 6:45 AM to 5:00 PM.
The distribution of work and responsibilities of the staff group is a total of 11 positions.
Work and areas of responsibility:
You will be jointly responsible for compliance with Inatsisartut Act No. 62 of November 20, 2023, on educational development offers for preschool children, as well as the Qeqqata Municipal Council's children and youth policy found on the Qeqqata Municipality's website and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Criminal and Child Certificate:
This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police, as well as the criminal record from the Police.
The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.
