Manager for the Nursing Home in Ilulissat

The Unganartoq Nursing Home in Ilulissat is seeking a manager for employment starting March 1, 2026, or by agreement. The manager reports directly to the department head in the family administration. Main responsibilities include overseeing administration, care, activities, and services; participating in the home duty scheme with the deputy manager and other staff; ensuring quality and service improvements; collaborating with residents and users to provide care based on their needs; creating a home environment prioritizing quality and well-being; ensuring safe and secure move-ins for new residents and respite users; and medication distribution. We expect applicants to have a relevant higher health education, preferably as a nurse, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, or health assistant, theoretical management education, experience in elderly or disability care, bilingual proficiency in Greenlandic and Danish, and knowledge of Greenlandic society and public systems. Personal qualifications include mental resilience, empathy, interdisciplinary collaboration skills, initiative, impact, goal-oriented work, good communication skills, holistic approach, flexibility, attentiveness, systematic approach, reliability, loyalty, responsibility, exemplary conduct, good contact and communication skills, and conflict management abilities.
