We focus on professionalism and a supportive work environment. Ward A1 is Greenland's only psychiatric ward, receiving both acute and planned patients from across Greenland. We accommodate 12 patients with mental disorders. The weekly working hours are 40 hours in rotating shifts.

The A1 ward is Greenland's only psychiatric inpatient department, receiving both acute and planned patients from all over Greenland. We have space for 12 patients with mental disorders, including space for 3 patients in a secured section.
There are about 22 employees; nurses, healthcare assistants, educators, and occupational therapists. In the department, we work on the development of psychiatric care, milieu therapy, and nursing. The weekly working hours are 40 hours with rotating day, evening, and night shifts. You should expect to be on duty every second weekend. If you are new to psychiatry, you can receive a special introductory program.

Housing is allocated according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic Health Service at any given time.
Salary and employment
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation travel and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Citizenship
If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. A residence and work permit can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
