We are looking for a night watchman for the Greenlandic Patient Home, who can support and guide patients far from home. The position requires commitment, good communication skills, and knowledge of the IT system Cosmic. Working hours are 28 hours weekly in night shifts. Application deadline is January 16, 2026.
We are looking for a calm and proactive night watchman who approaches challenges with commitment and openness. You can either be a trained nurse or a social and health assistant.
The patients at the Greenlandic Patient Home are characterized by being 3000 km away from their homeland while receiving treatment for various illnesses. There are between 70-80 patients and relatives, which creates many different needs for support and guidance. Treatment primarily takes place at the hospitals in the Capital Region.
The position is for 28 hours per week in a fixed night shift. Your working hours are from 11:15 PM to 7:15 AM in even weeks from Monday to Sunday.
The work consists of:

Get assigned tasks

Support, advise, and guide the patients in their course of illness.

Support good night's sleep by creating calm and security for the patients.

Follow-up with the patients that the evening shift has assessed need supervision during the night.

Availability on the phone, should a patient need to contact you.

For early flights to Greenland, you ensure that the patients are transported by the house bus.
