Disability and social psychiatry seeks a caring health assistant or nurse for the Pakkutaq Living Unit in Nuuk. The position is full-time with working hours on weekdays from 8 AM to 4 PM. You will assist residents with physical or mental disabilities in maintaining and developing their skills and quality of life.
DISABILITY AND SOCIAL PSYCHIATRY is looking for a caring healthcare assistant or nurse for the residential unit Pakkutaq located in Nuuk. If you want to help make a difference for our residents, you are exactly the colleague we need.
The position is a full-time job of 40 hours a week with working hours on weekdays from 8 AM to 4 PM.
The residential unit Pakkutaq has space for 12 residents aged 18-67 with physical or mental disabilities. Your core task will be to help each resident maintain and develop their physical, mental, and social skills. Together with your dedicated colleagues, you will support the resident in maintaining and developing their identity, self-esteem, and joy of life. As a healthcare assistant/nurse, you will be part of our multicultural team and be the contact person for the citizen. You will be jointly responsible for supporting citizens in their contact with partners such as: the healthcare system, district psychiatry, physiotherapists and occupational therapists in the municipality, as well as the citizen's caseworker.
We expect that you:
Is trained as a healthcare assistant or nurse.
Preferably Greenlandic and Danish speaking, but not a requirement.

Your tasks:
Plan, organize, and participate in daily work tasks in collaboration with the other staff.
Responsible for medication
Development of the housing unit's offerings for residents in collaboration with the manager and the other staff.
Maintain and further develop a high level of health professionalism.

Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
