Department Head for Cyber and Information Security Greenland's digital development creates great opportunities, but also greater and more complex vulnerabilities. This places high demands on public authorities - but also on companies, organizations, and citizens, who need to increase their security level and cyber understanding.
As the department head for the Cyber and Information Security Department, you will play a central role in strengthening resilience against a wide range of threats. Your work will primarily focus on raising the security level and understanding of Cyber and Information Security in the public sector. You will also contribute to supporting other organizations and businesses, as well as increasing the general understanding of digital security among citizens. Your efforts will therefore be crucial for enhancing resilience and robustness throughout society.
The Department of Cyber and Information Security
The department is staffed by four employees and a department head.
Cyber and information security in Greenland and the central administration can only be ensured through a solid collaborative organization across the central administration, the business sector, and other public authorities. Therefore, the department's focus is on good relationships and collaboration. The cooperation should be based on trust, credibility, and confidentiality with the aim of increasing motivation for work in cyber and information security.

Your tasks: Develop the tasks for Cyber and Information Security in close collaboration with the department, the director, and the IT manager.

Ensure that guidance materials and tools are developed that cover a wide range of information security-related topics aimed at different target groups.

Conduct workshops, courses, and meetings where information security topics are on the agenda.

Develop a concept for awareness campaigns regarding cyber and information security aimed at different target groups.

Build the department's external collaboration organization with other authorities, suppliers, and companies internationally.

Advisory function in cyber and information security aimed at public authorities and businesses.

Your professional qualifications

Knowledge of the cyber and information security field, including awareness.

Is skilled at communicating and can convey complex areas in an understandable way.

There will be an introductory and training program related to the position. The content of the program will depend on your skills at the time of hiring.
Security clearance is a prerequisite for the position.
It is a prerequisite for your employment that you can be security cleared and can maintain the security clearance during your employment.

The Digitalization Agency sets the direction for secure, standardized digital solutions for the Greenlandic community. At the Digitalization Agency, we work on the digitalization of Greenland, IT operations of Greenland's central administration, and Cyber and Information Security. The agency's areas of responsibility are extensive, as are the interest and expectations for the agency's timely deliveries. Employment terms
The position is currently classified as corresponding to 38. The salary with fixed salary components and personal contributions to pension in LR 38 amounts to DKK 64,048 monthly and DKK 768,576 annually as of April 1, 2026.
Employment will primarily be based on collective agreement terms; however, if the applicant is already a civil servant under the civil servant laws for the public Greenland, employment may occur under civil servant terms.
For the position, there is no maximum length of service established, and the provisions regarding compensation for overtime and the provisions regarding compensation for lost days off do not apply; the working hours are initially 40 hours per week.
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving and relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing
No staff housing is allocated for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the allocated staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
