Majoriaq Paamiut is seeking an office assistant/caseworker for full-time employment. The position has been created due to increased workload and complexity within Majoriaq's authority and administration area. Tasks include case processing, registration, and quality assurance. Applicants are expected to have an office education or a social work background. Start date desired by April 1, 2026.
Majoriaq Paamiut is looking for an office assistant / caseworker for employment by agreement.
The position is being created due to an increased workload and rising complexity within Majoriaq's authority and administrative area. There has been a significant expansion of documentation requirements, registration tasks, and quality assurance procedures, as well as an increase in the number of cases concerning services, external labor, and citizen inquiries. The additional staffing is intended to ensure timely and legally compliant case processing, high professional quality, and stable operations. The desired start date is no later than April 1, 2026, or by further agreement.
The position is full-time and is located under the Municipality of Sermersooq's administration for Welfare and Labor Market, Majoriaq Paamiut, where the center manager is the immediate supervisor.

Tasks in Majoriaq
The tasks are diverse and include, among other things:
·Counter service and telephone citizen contact
·Registration of unemployed in Winformatik and GetOrganized
Case processing of applications and preparation of decisions
·Administration of quarantines and mobility-promoting services
Case processing regarding external labor.
Quality assurance of payment lists
·Ad hoc tasks in collaboration with other employees
The tasks are solved in close collaboration with the other team members and with reference to the center manager.

·Good collaboration skills
Bilingual candidates are preferred, but it is not a requirement.
·Has an office education or a background in social work
Experience with authority work and knowledge of relevant legislation is an advantage, but not a requirement, as training will take place.

Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law requiring a criminal record check. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
