A position as an AC advisor with a focus on lexicography and terminology is available for immediate filling or by agreement. A candidate with the right documented competencies may be employed as a specialist or chief consultant in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
About the position
Your tasks will be related to the development of the Greenlandic language with a focus on the registration, development, and standardization of technical terminology.

Your primary tasks will be: Linguistic processing with a focus on lexicography and terminology work, including the collection, registration, examination, and documentation of terms.

Other ad hoc tasks within language work

Participation in collaborative projects regarding lexicography and terminology development

Participation in collaborative projects regarding Greenlandic and possibly other Inuit languages and Nordic languages.

Participation in Oqaasileriffik's black service
About you

We imagine that you: Have a linguistic education at the master's level (at least at the bachelor's level)

Has solid experience with language processing – preferably with a focus on Greenlandic.

Has experience with: databases

Has knowledge of lexicography and terminology

Mastering Greenlandic at a very high level, both written and spoken.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation travel and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

No housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the assigned housing is retained. The housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
