Laborer in the Contractor Department

Kommune Qeqertalik, Aasiaat, is seeking a laborer for the Contractor Department to start on January 19 or by agreement. Inoqarfik's work areas involve servicing the population, with varied workdays. The laborer's primary tasks include ensuring the following: Road network maintenance and ensuring they are passable, asphalt paving, winter snow removal by agreement, winter road graveling and summer gravel removal, ditches, maintenance of pontoon bridges, stairs, public spaces, and municipal properties, dog registration for Uumareg, dog vaccination - quarterly dog registration, euthanasia of cats, dogs, and other pests, cleaning/collection of bulk waste in the city and surrounding areas, work at annual events such as National Day, Christmas tree lighting, and other various municipal activities, emergency preparedness according to rules and regulations, weekend shifts during the snow removal season. Requirements for the laborer: Experience as a carpenter or other craftsman, stability, driver's license for a passenger car. Employment conditions: Salary and terms of employment will be according to the current agreement with the relevant trade union. Work is expected every other weekend, with evening and night shifts according to rules and regulations regarding shift work. No housing is provided for the position. Criminal record: This position is subject to the law requiring a criminal record check. Employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. Therefore, the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the police.
