Qualified Supervisor Needed

Are you interested in supporting caseworkers for children and youth? If so, you might be the candidate we are looking for.

The Family Administration in Avannaata Kommunia is seeking 2 supervisors to start on February 1, 2026, or by further agreement.

The supervisor will work with the supervision of caseworkers for children and youth under the Family Department in Avannaata Kommunia, including employees at the family house and youth center, and especially foster families. Therefore, it is desirable and important that the candidate has experience in this field or is professionally trained. The supervisor reports directly to the Head of Children and Youth under the Administration.

Educational Background:

· Trained psychologist, social worker, or similar.

· Certified supervisor

Tasks and responsibilities include:

· Supervision of individual or groups of employees

· Report writing

· Guidance of foster families

· Tasks related to employee well-being

· Close collaboration with local leaders and coordinators

· Advising conflict parties

· Participating in trips to towns in Avannaata Kommunia in connection with supervision work.

· Experience working with people, with an engaged and flexible attitude

· Experience in the supervision sphere

· Ability to work independently

· Good at planning

· Ability to contribute to improvements in a department with many different tasks

· Ability to contribute to the development of effective efforts in the social area

Salary and employment conditions

Employment is in accordance with the agreement between Naalakkersuisut and the applicant's negotiating organization.

A staff residence can be provided, for which rent, deposit, etc., are paid according to the rules in force at any given time.
