Department Manager for IT and Digitalization in Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq

If you want to help develop, strengthen, and ensure a robust and stable IT operation in Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq, then this position is for you.

We are looking for a department manager with personnel responsibility, who will be responsible for a number of areas.

Expectations and job content:

As department head, you will be responsible for tasks related to the daily management of the operations team, including being responsible for:

• Daily IT operations, including support, system operations, and development.
• Coaching and management of the operations team's employees, which is staffed with 2 employees.
• To ensure top-class IT operations, where we focus on solutions that create value for employees and citizens in close collaboration with the Head of IT and Digitalization.
• To choose future-proof solutions for the Municipality of Sermersooq
• Contribute to the work program and realization of defined goals
• Participate in the professional production to ensure retention and further development of professional competencies.
• In close dialogue with our subcontractors

Qualifications:

• IT background; for example IT support or higher education
• Experience with operating a support organization and IT systems
• To create good relationships in the team and contribute to well-being in the office.
• For behavior and performance as well as a loyal and active support of the department's strategy.
• Bilingualism in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.
• Knowledge is an advantage, but not a requirement.

You are referring to the Head of IT and Digitalization. IT and Digitalization are part of Internal Services, which encompasses a wide range of professional areas.

Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

No housing can be provided for the position.
