Nurse and Health Assistant

We are looking for a nurse and a health assistant for the lifestyle clinic in Aasiaat. You will work with prevention and treatment of lifestyle diseases, including diabetes and COPD, and collaborate with Steno Diabetes Center in Nuuk. We are looking for a nurse and a health assistant for the lifestyle clinic in Aasiaat, where you will play a central role in the prevention and treatment of lifestyle diseases. The position involves close collaboration with both citizens in the town and the villages, as well as professional cooperation with the Steno Diabetes Center in Nuuk.

The tasks will be:

  • Prevention and treatment of lifestyle diseases.
  • Patient pathways in areas such as diabetes, hypertension, and COPD.
  • Health conversations, guidance, and follow-up
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration with local and regional actors
  • Contribute to the development of lifestyle initiatives and patient offerings.

Region Disko includes the Regional Hospital in Aasiaat, 3 towns with health centers, and 8 settlements. Aasiaat has about 3000 inhabitants, and the entire region has about 7000 inhabitants.

Housing is allocated according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic Health Service at any given time.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and removal expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Citizenship

If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that the employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. A residence and work permit can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
