The home care service in Nuuk is looking for a health assistant for day shift. Tasks include care and support, medication administration, documentation, and rehabilitative tasks. You should be responsible, stable, and have good collaboration skills. A driver's license is an advantage, but not a requirement.
The home care service is looking for a professionally skilled and dedicated health assistant or someone with equivalent education.
Home care in Nuuk handles tasks for about 250 citizens in their own homes, which can range from personal care to cleaning and shopping. Since the autumn of 2017, we have provided home care around the clock.
Home care therefore consists of day shifts, evening shifts, and night shifts that help maintain the citizen's quality of life every day, so they can stay in their own home for as long as possible. Home care consists of a department manager, 2 team coordinators, health care assistants and health assistants, support staff, as well as unskilled workers distributed across all shifts.
The tasks for the citizens are divided into 9 routes managed by permanent staff. The evening team consists of two groups, each group consisting of 5 people. The tasks are also distributed, with the users in the evening being divided up. They have a duty mobile while they are at work, and one person is designated to handle emergency calls in case of urgent visits.
Those who have a driver's license use the Home Care's car, while staff without a driver's license take the bus to the users in a specific order.

We are looking for a healthcare assistant who is willing to take responsibility for the execution of tasks for the citizens and to provide guidance to healthcare helpers, unskilled workers, and students.
The content of the position:
Care and support for the citizens

Rehabilitative tasks aimed at strengthening the citizen's functional level and resources.
Contribute to creating trust and security through dialogue and conversation.

Manage complex citizen processes
Ensure a good start for new citizens and relatives.
Implement health-promoting and preventive measures in collaboration with the citizens.
·Observe, identify, and respond appropriately to symptoms of the most common somatic and mental disorders in citizens.
·Observes and identifies issues and based on these – in close collaboration with the other staff, contributes to the development of an action plan for each individual citizen.
·Could engage in interdisciplinary collaboration based on one's own level of competence.
Introduce and guide new staff and students.
The tasks are solved in close collaboration with the other staff of the home care service, the team coordinators, and interdisciplinary partners.

The working hours are 40 hours per week, primarily during the day shift. You will be on duty every other weekend.
Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Greenland Self-Government, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Greenland Self-Government and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
Housing:
A staff housing can be provided for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. will be paid according to the applicable rules for rent payments in the Greenland Self-Government and the municipality's properties in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon taking up the position, employees entitled to temporary housing will be offered a temporary rental unit, for which rent, utilities, etc. will be paid in accordance with the above. The start date depends on when a staff housing becomes available. A relocation travel allowance and moving expenses for household goods are provided in accordance with applicable regulations.
