About AKO Inussuk:

AKO after-school care is looking for a department leader who will ensure the values of the offer are upheld and realize the pedagogical direction, as well as help create safety in daily life and foster organization and development.

You will be part of the management and will help coordinate daily operations and contribute to developing the pedagogical direction.

The job requires close collaboration with children and staff.

You must have an overview and follow the legislation.

Work tasks and managerial rights must be organized in close collaboration with the after-school care leader.

In Atuarfik Inussuk's AKO after-school care, there are about 300 children distributed across three areas, and there are 24 children in each room. In Atuarfik Inussuk's AKO after-school care, it is very important to follow the school's value set.

As a department leader, you will work with the following:

∙Educating children in the room

∙Supporting daily pedagogical work and coordination

∙Delegation of daily tasks and ensuring cohesive operations

∙Advising employees and follow-up

∙Children's well-being, development, and monitoring their environments, recording experiences and efforts, ensuring follow-ups

∙Ensuring close and good collaboration with parents

∙Communication between employee groups and AKO management regarding agreements on management tasks

Criminal and Child Certificate:

The position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police and the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
