AI & Automation Engineer

AI & Automation Engineer — limited trial period of 3–6 months

At Tusass, we want to use AI where the technology creates real value: better operations, stronger service, higher quality, and more efficient workflows. Therefore, we are looking for an AI & Automation Engineer who can identify the right problems, develop solutions that can be tested in practice, and document the effects.

You will be the link between technology, data, and business. The role is for you who can both analyze complex needs and translate them into concrete prototypes, decision-making bases, and a realistic roadmap for Tusass’ further work with AI.

Your task

Your main task will be to clarify where AI and automation provide the greatest value for Tusass — and prove it through practical solutions. You will among other things:

• Map workflows, data foundations, and improvement opportunities across the organization
• Prioritize use cases based on business value, feasibility, risk, and strategic relevance
• Develop and demonstrate prototypes that solve specific needs within, for example, operations, case prioritization, planning, analysis, or reporting
• Define baseline and success criteria and document effects, limitations, and assumptions
• Mature solutions with a focus on testing, version control, traceability, security, monitoring, and operability
• Prepare a decision proposal and roadmap for the next phase, including ownership, competence needs, cost drivers, and risks
• Ensure documentation and knowledge transfer so that solutions and experiences can be taken over and further developed by others

You work across Tusass

You will have a broad contact surface with IT operations, Service Management, networks, infrastructure, BSS, system owners, Enterprise Architecture, cybersecurity, and relevant business areas. Together, you will qualify needs, data sources, integration opportunities, and effect measures — without losing focus on the agreed deliveries.

We imagine that you

• have a relevant higher education in data, analysis, business development, engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• can analyze complex issues and translate data and insights into applicable solutions
• have experience in developing, testing, documenting, and evaluating solutions from needs clarification to practical application
• understand the importance of quality, security, documentation, traceability, and controlled handover
• can work with incomplete data foundations and be clear about uncertainties, limitations, and risks
• communicate complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues
• master English in writing and speaking. Knowledge of Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage

As a person, you are curious, structured, and results-oriented. You take ownership, collaborate naturally across boundaries, and have an eye for both quick learning and solutions that can function safely and stably over time.

You will succeed with this

After 3–6 months, you will have created a clear and fact-based foundation for Tusass’ next steps, prioritized use cases, demonstrated prototypes with measurable results, documented data and operational assumptions, as well as a realistic roadmap for continuation, scaling, or closure.
