Nurses for Paamiut from mid-November and mid-December
Do you want to see lots of eagles? Are you into hiking in beautiful surroundings? For good community?
We are looking for two nurses from mid-November for 2-3 months. Likewise, we are looking for a nurse from mid-December for 2-3 months.
We continuously need nurses, so if you can only come in 2027, we will also figure that out.
Paamiut has about 1250 inhabitants. In the health center, there are 3-4 nurses, 1 doctor, 2 medical students, 1 physiotherapist, health assistants, interpreters, porters, and cleaning staff.
Queen Margrethe's Health Center is part of the Health Region Sermersooq, where Queen Ingrid's Health Center in Nuuk is the largest.
The health center's task is to promote health, prevention, examination, and treatment. Some tasks are handled by support staff who are specially trained in, for example, X-rays, planned blood tests, etc. As a nurse, one handles consultation and emergency room work, as well as work with hospitalized patients in the ward and pharmacy functions.
As a nurse in Paamiut, one has 7-10 night shifts/month, where one is on call from home from 4:00 PM to 8:00 AM. We have employed 2 medical students who take turns having day shifts on weekends, so the on-call nurse has a better opportunity for rest.
There are good, dedicated colleagues. And it is a varied and very exciting job with great opportunities for development - both personally and professionally.
We are looking for nurses who:
- Have broad experience, preferably emergency experience
- Can work independently
- Have good collaboration skills and are flexible
- Enjoy new challenges
We offer:
- Introduction and support from the other nurses and the doctor employed at the health center
- Many different and exciting challenges
- Supplement for full Diploma in treatment nursing
