The Center for Counseling and Family Treatment in Nuuk is looking for a committed and professionally strong psychologist / certified psychotherapist for therapy and treatment tasks.

This is a permanent full-time position.

The Municipality of Sermersooq is looking for a skilled and committed psychologist / certified psychotherapist for the Therapy and Treatment Department, CRF (Center for Counseling and Family Treatment).

About CRF:

CRF is a municipal offer under the Administration for Children and Family, which provides support and treatment to children, young people, and families.

At CRF, we work to strengthen well-being, development, and relationships – both for the child/young person and for the family as a whole. CRF's initiatives are always based on the individual family's needs and the goals agreed upon in collaboration with the family and possibly authorities.

CRF consists of professional staff with various competencies, who work closely together to create holistic solutions. Emphasis is placed on a safe and respectful collaboration, where the family is actively involved.

The purpose of the work at CRF is to create positive and lasting changes and support children, young people, and families in achieving better well-being and development.

The Therapy and Treatment Department currently consists of 10 employees divided among psychologists and family psychotherapists. The position reports to the department head.

About the position:

We are looking for one psychologist / certified psychotherapist who wants to make a real difference for children, young people, and families in vulnerable positions – and who will also actively contribute to a professionally developing environment.

Your tasks will include:

∙Individual and group-based therapy courses for children, young people, and parents

∙Family treatment and parental guidance

∙Psychological assessments

∙Preparation of treatment plans and documentation

∙Interdisciplinary collaboration and participation in meetings with authorities

∙Active participation in professional development and knowledge sharing within the team

The tasks are solved in close collaboration with the department head and other employees.

Expectations for the applicant:

∙Are a trained psychologist (cand.psych.) or certified psychotherapist

∙Have experience with therapeutic work with children, young people, and families

∙Work in a structured manner and can maintain an overview in complex cases

∙Have strong collaboration skills and create trusting relationships

∙Can work independently and take clear professional responsibility

∙Have experience with both treatment tasks and documentation

∙Are flexible and can navigate complex issues

∙Meet people with empathy, respect, and a professional view of humanity

∙Have experience with IT and record-keeping

∙Speak Greenlandic and Danish – an advantage, but not a requirement

Criminal and Child Certificate:

This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon when the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police and the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

For the position, staff housing can be provided, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the applicable rules for rent payment in the Government of Greenland and the municipality's properties, etc. in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, employees entitled to temporary housing will be offered a temporary vacant housing, for which rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the above. The start date is dependent on when a staff housing is available. A relocation travel and moving expenses are provided according to applicable rules.
