Do you want to help create safety, quality of life, and a meaningful everyday life for elderly citizens? Utoqqaat Illuat is looking for three dedicated healthcare assistants.

Utoqqaat Illuat is a residential institution under the Municipality of Sermersooq. The nursing home has 47 residents distributed across the departments Tungiu, Ippat, Katak, and Pillorissaavik. In addition, we have an activity center, kitchen, cleaning, laundry, maintenance function, and driver function.

We work based on the motto:

Your tasks:

• Provide basic care and support based on the resident's needs, wishes, and resources
• Support the residents' physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being
• Observe changes in the residents' health and respond professionally
• Document care, observations, and agreements clearly and correctly
• Participate in activities and preventive measures
• Collaborate with colleagues, management, relatives, and external partners
• Contribute to a safe, respectful, and dignified everyday life for the residents

• Are a trained healthcare assistant or have a corresponding relevant education
• Have an interest in working with the elderly and people with dementia

Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/contract in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:
There will be the possibility of assigning staff housing for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. will be paid according to the applicable rules for rent payment in the Government of Greenland and the municipality's properties, etc. in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, temporary staff housing will be offered to employees entitled to vacant housing, for which rent, utilities, etc. will be paid according to the above. The start date depends on when a staff housing becomes available. A relocation travel and moving expenses will be provided according to applicable rules.
