Do you want to help create security, quality of life, and a meaningful everyday life for elderly citizens? Utoqqaat Illuat is looking for three dedicated health care assistants.

Utoqqaat Illuat is a round-the-clock institution under the Municipality of Sermersooq. The nursing home has 47 residents distributed across the departments Tungiu, Ippat, Katak, and Pillorissaavik. In addition, we have an activity center, kitchen, cleaning, laundry, maintenance function, and driver function.

We work based on the motto:

Your tasks:

• Provide basic care and support based on the resident's needs, wishes, and resources
• Support the residents' physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being
• Observe changes in the residents' health and respond professionally
• Document care, observations, and agreements clearly and correctly
• Participate in activities and preventive measures
• Collaborate with colleagues, management, relatives, and external partners
• Contribute to a safe, respectful, and dignified everyday life for the residents

• Are a trained health care assistant or have a corresponding relevant education
• Have an interest in working with the elderly and people with dementia
• Are caring, patient, and calm – even in challenging situations

Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in effect at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization. Employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:
No staff housing can be provided for the position.
