Permanent nurse for Ittoqqortoormiit in 2026

We are looking for a permanent nurse as soon as possible, for a very exciting and versatile job.

Ittoqqortoormiit Health Center is part of the Health Region Sermersooq, where Queen Ingrid's Health Center (D.I.S.) in Nuuk is the largest. Ittoqqortoormiit has about 350 inhabitants. The health center employs two nurses, an interpreter, and a cleaning assistant.

The health center does not have a doctor physically present. However, there is daily contact with specialists in general medicine at D.I.S., and consultations are held with them regarding acute patients during on-call hours.

The health center's task is to promote health, prevention, examination, and treatment. There may be short-term hospitalizations.

There will be an introduction with an overlapping nurse. You will be introduced to various functions such as performing gynecological examinations, blood sampling, X-ray imaging, and ultrasound scans of pregnant women via TEAMS with a midwife. There is ample time for each patient.

This is a varied and very exciting job with good opportunities for development - both personally and professionally.

We are looking for nurses who:

  • Have a flair for a bit of technology and IT at user level

Housing

Housing will be provided according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic Health Service at any given time.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Citizenship

If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. A residence and work permit can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
