Do you want to make a difference for the patients? The therapy department is looking for a committed and flexible hourly-paid interpreter/assistant.

The position is initially full-time, but we are open to both full-time and part-time employment.

About the position

As an interpreter and assistant, you will become an important part of the daily life in the therapy department. Your role will consist of both interpreting tasks and practical tasks that support the department's daily operations. You will receive thorough training continuously. The position does not require a healthcare professional education.

Interpreting tasks between patient and therapist:

• During individual examinations and treatment processes in the therapy department
• During group training sessions
• During examinations and treatment processes in the hospital's other departments

Assistant tasks:

• Light cleaning of training equipment and aids
• Preparation and maintenance of aids
• Ensure order and overview in the department
• Handle phone and reception during sickness and vacation

• Master Greenlandic and Danish in speech and preferably in writing

About us:

There are approximately 21 employees in the department distributed among interpreters, assistants/interpreters, receptionists, administrative staff, inventory managers, chief therapists, clinical dietitians, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists.

Probation period

There will be a 3-month probation period in the position.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Citizenship

If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. A residence and work permit can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
