Integrated daycare institution Paarsisoq seeks a department leader

Are you engaged in working as a department leader and having leadership tasks, and are you interested in working with children in daily life? Then we need you in the integrated daycare institution "Paarsisoq".

We develop children in the daycare institution, and we are continuously involved in developing leadership and organization. Here in the institution, we value having close communication, and we are focused on the individual children's and groups' development and well-being.

It is the goal of Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq to develop curious, resilient, and happy children; these are our fundamental principles for developing the children. We do this by discussing our educational goals and how we can realize them.

Characteristics of our institution are: Working based on our goals, which are:

· Development of children based on the children's skills

· To use appreciative pedagogy to develop the children at their level, and to develop the children based on their skills

· To practice the children in speaking, acquiring, and the ability to be with others, by using the 7 basic principles

· We use the Kammagiitta suitcase (anti-bullying materials) in various activities, where we learn about respect, closeness, setting boundaries, and being able to stand up

· We use pedagogical sports so that the children can learn to control their motor skills and the children learn to make decisions

About the kindergarten:

The integrated daycare institution Paarsisoq is regulated for 90 children distributed in six groups. The staff norm is 22, and includes: Leader, deputy leader, four educators, six social workers, six assistants, cleaning assistant, two nutrition assistants.

The daycare institution was taken into use on November 6, 1969.

The nursery is open from 07:00 - 17:00 and is located in the center of Nuuk.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon when the municipality has received the child certificate from the national police and the criminal certificate from the police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/contract applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

There will be the possibility of assigning staff housing for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the applicable rules for rent payment in the Government of Greenland and the municipality's properties, etc. in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, temporary staff housing will be offered to employees entitled to temporary housing, for which rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the above. The start date is dependent on when there is staff housing available. A relocation travel and moving expenses will be provided according to applicable rules.
