Integrated Institution MUKU is located in Nuussuaq and has space for 64 children.

MUKU is open during the day from 07:00 – 17:00 with space for 24 nursery children and 40 kindergarten children. There are 15 employees distributed with 3 in each room for 4 rooms, a cleaning assistant, a kitchen assistant, and a manager.

The social worker position is in the kindergarten for children aged 0-3 years. It is 40 weekly working hours with varying working hours between 07:00 – 17:00. The social worker is jointly responsible for the educational development of the daycare and parent collaboration.

Professional and personal requirements for the applicant are:

·That you have a pedagogical education or equivalent

·That you are responsible, have an overview, and are stable

·That you are creative and can see opportunities rather than limitations

·That you are flexible, cooperative, and welcoming

·That you have knowledge of the 7 pedagogical principles (Tunngaviit ilikkalertorfiusut 7-it)

·That you have knowledge of "free from bullying" ("Kammagiitta")

Criminal and child certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon when the municipality has received the child certificate from the national police, as well as the criminal certificate from the police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, SIK, or another relevant negotiating organization.

Employment will occur with a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

No housing can be offered for the position.
