Nutrition Assistant for Integrated Daycare Paarsisoq

The Municipality of Sermersooq is looking for a skilled and dedicated nutrition assistant for the integrated Paarsisoq.

The integrated Paarsisoq is located in Nuuk. There is space for 90 children.

There are 6 rooms, where there are 3 nursery rooms with space for 12 children and in the kindergarten room there is space for 54 children. Each room has three staff members, which are: educator, social worker, and an assistant.

Paarsisoq is open on weekdays from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It is closed on weekends and public holidays.

There are a total of 22 employees, which are: Leader, deputy leader, educators, social workers, department heads, and assistants, one floater, and one nutrition assistant.

Job Description:

·Plan menus and prepare nutritious, varied, and child-friendly meals

·As a nutrition assistant, you will prepare food for babies who have just started eating and up to 6-year-old children

·Ensure proper handling of allergies, intolerances, and other documented dietary needs

·Ensure good kitchen hygiene, cleaning, temperature control, and documented self-control

·Prevent food waste and use raw materials responsibly and sustainably

·Be able to collaborate with the leader and educational staff about food and good habits

·Create a meal plan every week

Criminal and Child Certificate:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the national police and the criminal certificate from the police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the police.

Salary and Employment Conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in effect at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period

Housing:
No staff housing can be provided for the position.
