Greenland's Prisons is seeking a facility manager for the Prison in Tasiilaq. The position involves managing staff, administration, and operations, as well as responsibility for budget and case processing. We are looking for an engaged leader with good collaboration skills and the ability to motivate others.

As the facility manager in Tasiilaq, you will be responsible for 9 engaged colleagues, of which 8 are uniformed and 1 is civilian.

The prison has a capacity of 15 places for convicted individuals.

The facility manager is responsible for daily coordinating the management of the prison in close collaboration with the chief guard. You will also be part of the overall leadership team in Greenland's Prisons, and thus you will have a shared responsibility for ensuring that Greenland's Prisons meet their goals.

As the facility manager, you are responsible for ensuring that the inmates' cases are handled correctly and that their everyday life is organized according to the rules.

The position involves management tasks such as personnel management, administration, and operations. The facility manager is also responsible for the prison's budget, case processing, daily operations, development, and well-being. Therefore, a significant responsibility rests on the facility manager, who, together with the chief guard, must ensure appropriate operations of the prison.

It is also essential that you are able to be directive and clear in your leadership and communication. In the prison, East Greenlandic, Danish, and West Greenlandic are spoken. The position requires that you are independent, systematic, solution-oriented, and proactive.

Within the framework, you have a good opportunity to influence and structure the prison's everyday life together with the other staff.

Greenland's Prisons is looking for a leader who is good at collaborative relationships and can contribute positively to ensuring timely and appropriate case processing at the prison. Furthermore, we emphasize a constructive and interdisciplinary effort around the inmates, so that the prison's professional competencies are utilized as best as possible regarding the resocialization efforts for the inmates.

We expect that you are a trained prison officer and that you are good at forming an overview and have good abilities to systematize and plan tasks for yourself and others. You find it exciting to motivate other people. You like to take responsibility and find leadership interesting. You are focused on creating positive changes and want to work towards this.

Salary and employment conditions

The position as facility manager is a civil servant position according to the law on state civil servants. The position is placed in salary group 7, province, where the base salary is 43,419.10 DKK per month. In addition, various allowances apply.

The workplace is the Prison in Tasiilaq.

Unfurnished staff housing can be offered for the position. Rent and deposit are paid according to the applicable rules at any given time.

Relocation travel is provided for you and your family, provided you are not already residing in Tasiilaq.
