The nursing department at Utoqqaat illuat Puilasunnguit in Paamut is seeking a department manager.

About Puilasunnguit:

Puilasunnguit is a nursing home with space for 22 residents.

The staff composition consists of a leader, a deputy, 1 office manager, 1 health assistant, social & health helper, health helper, a number of unskilled workers in care, 2 kitchen assistants, kitchen helper, 1 housekeeper, and cleaning assistant. The goal is to hire more qualified staff in care.

The position reports to the site manager.

The content of the position:

We are looking for a Team Coordinator to work with the elderly residents, where the level of good and caring care, as well as the continued development of care, is absolutely prioritized.

We are in a development process where we want to focus on competence development, job satisfaction, stability, and cohesion, as we believe this has a direct effect on the residents' well-being. Therefore, we want the work to take place in a close interdisciplinary, innovative, and developing environment for the benefit of the residents.

We expect you to participate in the task of developing the unskilled staff together with the leader and the deputy, so that an effect of this can be traced in the residents' well-being.

Our expectations of you are:

·That you are a trained healthcare assistant or have other health-related qualifications with management experience.

·That you are professionally well-founded and critical in your choice of actions

·That you have the desire and interest to work in the field of elderly care

That you have a flair and desire to participate in management work.

·That you can work every other weekend and have on-call duty from home.

  • Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.

·That you have well-developed interdisciplinary collaboration skills

·That you will contribute to the development and documentation of the care.

·That you will participate in teaching, be a practical supervisor for students and trainees.

·That you will contribute to creating a positive, creative, inspiring, and developing environment

·Is stable, quality-conscious, and has an eye for detail

Can handle many balls in the air without losing perspective.

·Works independently, is responsible and service-oriented

Demonstrates flexibility regarding tasks and ongoing adjustments in work distribution.

Ability to work focused and structured in a hectic everyday life

Is robust and shows initiative, surplus, and decisiveness.

Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

A staff housing can be provided for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. will be paid according to the applicable rules for rent payment in the Greenland Self-Government and the municipality's properties in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, employees entitled to temporary housing will be offered a temporary accommodation, for which rent, utilities, etc. will be paid according to the above. The start date depends on when there is a staff housing available. A relocation travel allowance and moving of personal belongings are provided in accordance with applicable regulations.
